You have no clue. Maybe you should look at some of the 15 page War for Southern Independence (Civil War for the propagandists) threads and learn about the reasons for the war. Hint, slavery was not the main reason.

Maybe read the Ordinances of Succession and learn about how it very much was about slavery. The states made it very clear that it was the primary reason for the Civil War.

Bunch of rich Southerners getting poor Southerners to die for their rights to own other people. It's abhorrent, as are all confederate sympathizers.

None of that has anything to do with tearing down statues

Has everything to do with tearing down the statues. There is no place in America for any celebration of the confederacy.

That's reserved for traitors and they can keep that shite in their incel nests.

Remembering and honoring those poor southerners and the individual men who lead them into battle isn’t “abhorrent”

Yeah, I will never understand why so many people on this board spout their hatred for centralized, federalized authority but talk about how great Abraham Lincoln was.

Yes, it’s odd. Lincoln was as destructive of our Constitution and Bill of Rights as any of his successors.

This is your third stupid post in a row and by far the worst

You have absolutely no idea about our history as a nation or the multiple reasons for the civil war and your ignorance in the post above is proof

The civil war was not nor ever be about slavery. For you to even suggest that completely makes you irrelevant to this conversation.

You have not studied history it appears. The civil war was caused by elites period. Slavery was universal from both sides. The use of slavery as the instigation is ridiculous. By the way, who sold the “slaves” to the union?

I bet you will not touch that last question as it would blow up your narrative.

Not all of the original States mentioned slavery in their secession declaration. IIRC it was 3 or 4 out of 7. Now tell me why Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Arkansas seceded? Was it to go die for the other states to keep slaves? Think about. Or was it because Lincoln requested soldiers to go fight the seceded States.

And if it was only about slavery, why were border States allowed to keep their slaves during the war?

The war was about political power and money.

The official reasons for the southern states leaving the Union are clearly laid out in the actual proclamations of each state. They are there for any one to read. And they are for the continuous use of slave labor and the rights of each state to decide this on their own. It's written. By each State. Clearly.

The South was wrong and governed by traitors. Lincoln did what he had to do to preserve the Union. He was too lenient toward the Confederate States after the war.

You are correct. All about money. The upper one percent of slave owners were among the richest on the planet. King Cotton made markets dance.

All that death and destruction could have been avoided, and Lincoln gave this some thought, if we'd run the slave trade in reverse.Loaded em up and sent them to Liberia and other places in Africa.

You have so little knowledge of facts, it is embarrassing. And tell me, how are all the generations of freed slaves working out for our big cities?

Do you not see that the government still owns these people, with lifetime welfare?

Lincoln thought the black race was beneath the whites. He made that very clear in his debates with Douglas. If people read a transcript of those debates, without his name being revealed, modern society would call for his statue to be removed.

Your hero-worship of despicable men is pathetic. And you wouldn't even have the strength or wherewithal to follow through on such evil endeavors. Lincoln, Sherman & Grant were truly heinous.
