Cool, then take all "journalists" off of social media then.

The media AND our government are upset that nobody believes them.
The media has been used as a propaganda wing for the government for a long time. Remember when Walter Cronkite was "the most trusted man in America?".
Over time, we have come to see that, and the MSM is losing its usefulness. If Americans won't believe the MSM why do we need an MSM?
The government going to have to find another way to keep us distracted, and right now, they are keeping us fighting each other.

The media are a colloquial collaborative of hubris and arrogance.
I don't care what he does, or whatever who did what in Mississippi, or what Al Jazeera does in the middle east.
A symbiosis of thousands and millions of eyes and ears coming together to report a broad spectrum of secondary and tertiary stories along with the primary subject matter, is far more effective than anything the "media" does. Elon's Twitter army isn't the media. They're the truth. The media is dead. Praise GOD.

They don't yet realize cable news is going out of business. Maybe Fox survives for a while longer.

His remarks about what a report actually is, are pretty accurate.
And he gave no reason why a "blue check mark" or even someone without a blue check mark can't do that job as a citizen journalist...because they can.

This guy is the perfect example of why "journalist" are least respected today. He is so deep in his own bias he has zero ability to see beyond his bias and the hypocrisy of his own speech. That is failure #1 for a journalist.
1. Journalism is supposed to be independent but they accept being owned by corporate conglomerate with a conflict of interest.
2. The political media has accepted the influx of political appointees serving as Journalist reporting on politics. Conflict of interest?
3. People sitting at home in their pajamas read journalist reporting and know it's lies and misinformation because the person at home in their pajamas has direct information about said stories and now have a forum to speak to the real story truth. The Journalist cannot defend this new reality.
4. Their is no license or certification for being a journalist. The legacy media failed to protect their industry integrity by hiring non journalist to pose as journalist and now they say only they can decide who is a journalist. They are no standards for being a journalist and journalist oppose anyone puting a standard on them.

Elon really needs to buy MSNBC, have a show with Alex Jones, one with Tucker, one with Bannon and a two hour show with Elon and Vivek highlighting all of the waste with DOGE. Then the rest of the time can be re-runs of bad arse 80s movies.

Much as "A Devil's Dictionary" defined a lawyer as 'one skilled in circumventing the law', we should redefine a journalist as 'one who distorts the truth'.

Every jackleg with a phone/camera was the media during the riots...they said so themselves. I didn't hear this arse bitching then.

This is the correct answer.
No one cares about the MSM specifically because they stopped doing exactly what he said in that speech.

Can dish it out, but can't take it.

Spoken with the anger of a man watching the halcyon days slip away before his eyes.

The lack of self awareness and narcissism in that clip is amazing, lol
The inflated sense of self-importance is ALL they have left to offset what the marketplace is telling them...they aren't that important or necessary.

Yep, lol. Telling the truth is easy. It's only difficult when you work to not tell the truth.

Exactly. I believe most of the age 60 and under population knows the MSM are professional liars. The 60 and older crowd who only gets their news from MSM are still believing the lies

Well if Elon wasn’t going to buy MSNBC before he almost certainly will now.
I disagree. I don’t think we wants to own another company. I don’t see how the guy manages his life right now.
But, it’s Elon. He’s Superman. I guess we’ll see.

Hilarious. They have ZERO problem wiht Carlos Slim owning the NYT.

These people aren’t journalists. They are partisan clowns who all parrot the same party line handed down to them.
