I’m not interested in sending our young warriors into another endless war and occupation.
I’m also not sure that yet another “deal” with Iran’s mullahs accomplishes anything permanent. They’ve demonstrated time and again over the decades that they can never be trusted.
Eventually they will have to be dealt with. Their people did try to rise up and 30-50k of them were slaughtered for their trouble.
No truly good options on this one longer term.

I thought we obliterated their nuclear program last year? That's what we were told. How can they be days away from developing another nuclear warhead?

Ummm you do know the crazies (isreal) have nukes? they stole them and do not let international agencies know about them. they also have a plan in place to launch all the nukes if their sovereignty is threated.

I certainly agree that this latest pressure campaign on Iran has nothing to do with Iran’s nuclear weapons program. So what exactly is the argument here?

The only reason the Iraq and Afghan wars were drawn out is because Bush wanted it that way. It was convenient for the money guys. Those two wars could’ve been over within months if we really wanted them to be over quickly. This is America, and our gloves have been on since the end of WWII. We take off the gloves and wars end quickly.

It is a war of attrition.
We can bankrupt them with continued bombing campaigns if they keep trying for nukes.
We don't need boots on the ground.
We continue to bomb until they go broke or give up.
"Iranian freedom" is up to the Iranians. If they can overthrow a weakened dictatorship, then that is what they will try to do.

Personal opinion here.
This is ultimately about weakening China's international allies.
All of them.
We are trying to prevent an invasion in 2027 or 2028.
Russia. Venezuela. Cuba. Iran. Greenland. South America. We are just placing the dominoes in line where we want them to have the most leverage when it comes to Taiwan.
