I don’t smoke weed but give them credit using states rights to legalize it.

I align with all classical liberal ideology. The problem is that the left isnt liberal anymore. They are authoritarian. The opposite of liberal. Liberalism means live and let live, just don't hurt anyone, especially kids.

Hard to say.

Just a few Presidents ago I agreed with the liberal policy of enforcing immigration laws. I still do, but now they don’t.

I used to oppose the legalization of marijuana. I now agree with it. Legalize it, regulate it, and tax it as we do with cancer sticks.

I’m against the death penalty
I’m a bit of a tree hugger but that’s no longer a liberal ideal any longer.
Against war- Again, no longer a leftist platform

The one redeeming quality of the Left USED TO BE that they would "Protest the Man." They weren't always right, but sometimes they were. The Left was correct to protest Dem President (and monster) LBJ's phony war in SE Asia, and the Left was also correct to protest the Bush/Cheney invasion of Iraq. It was the Left who were the first to correctly refer to Bush and Cheney as war criminals.

But fast-forward 20 years, and the Left was ECSTATIC when Dick Cheney and his little toxic tater tot daughter Lizard Cheney endorsed Kamala.

The Left are currently the #1 supporters of the corrupt Political Establishment. Most of them are too stupid to see it, but nonetheless that's what they've become.

I would have no problem with drug legalization as long as it included elimination of all public support:
No health care
No welfare
No rehab
No housing
No nothing, you simply die in the street if you can't handle the drugs and serve as a lesson for youngsters.

And definitely stop shoving it down the throats of 5-10 year old kids. That's just wrong on so many levels

Reefer Legalization....just not the left's idiotic tax and regulate the shite out of it methodology.

IDK about the gays at all, just don't want dudes with tits in the same bathrooms or locker rooms as my young daughters or competing in female sports leagues.

Trick question possibly.

Used to be just the Dems who loves Big Gubmint expansion, believing only they can "help" us get by in life. Now the GOP joins them

Dems also used to be bigger "Free Speech" advocates. Now the GOP joins them -- though not quite as much.

The GOP used to be THE "pro-War" party. Now it's a shared uni-Party quirk.

Used to be the GOP was more budget-minded -- but now that philosophy has leveled out into BOTH parties embracing it more or less (except for the Thomas Massies, MTGs and Rand Pauls) of the party.

The worst trend I've seen -- BOTH parties now advocate for Hive-Mind loyalty absolutes , an authoritarian police state, and completely ignoring the consent of We The People.

I like parental leave for both parents after the birth of a child. My wife and I had it when our son was born and it was incredibly helpful. In our case, it got both of us back to work at 100% faster than we would've if we went back as zombies right away. It also gives the middle class a chance to reproduce and maybe turn the tide.

Conservatives are not against parental leave. It's not a liberal position. They are against a government mandate.

I oppose the death penalty too but I favor corporal punishment administered quickly and often for violent criminals

I don’t think the death penalty is a deterrent and believe that living to feel physical pain is more of a deterrent than a death sentence.

Shared political policies are completely irrelevant as their ideology believes that I should be killed.

I think parental leave is the absolute best policy to reflect the shifting landscape on the right (and left).

Required parental leave was a low hanging fruit policy for the left - everyone wants it, it reflects traditionalist priorities and is a pro-family policy. The right traditionally rejected it as government interference with the free market and that the market could sort this out. And in truth, the market often did.

Now, however, I think after decades of the market not rewarding its biggest proponents and not being a neutral arbiter at all, many conservatives have shifted on the issue. Many, I'd argue, see nothing wrong with a locality or a state deciding that a market participant wanting to make money in our area has to prioritize what we prioritize - and family is at the top. I think a lot of these same people recognize the flaws - that the bigger the system the more likely it's a disaster, that it could be used to support all sorts of misguided things, etc.

What I'm looking for next is a rejection of it by the left, as the left grows more and more anti-family (or at least, post-family). You already hear less and less emphasis on it in recent cycles IMO.

I believe in some censorship. Degeneracy and pornography should not be allowed on social media.
