According to WAFB, today’s high of 81 was “the lowest for Aug 29 on record.” Someone tell Greta and Gore. Bet this news does NOT go viral.

Someone will come along and post an article about how even cooler August temperatures are yet another dangerous example of climate change.

The high on August 29, 2005 was also 81 degrees.

It tied the record, along with 2005, 2012, and 2017.
ETA: And the high was 82° on this day in 2001 and 2021. That means the six coolest August 29th days have all come in the 2000s.
ETAA: All of those days saw rain, and all but one saw more than 1.25" of rain.

I'm seeing some 80s and 60s in the forecast next week. It would be nice to get an early fall.

The Tennessee game following Trina was the muggiest day I’ve ever experienced. It was miserable even before OT.

History always repeats itself with variations. Potential Cat 5 rolling in again soon?

Cat 5 is a little much. Cat 3 is good enough for a storm party.

Yes. I recall a stiff dew and a slight breeze that kept temps down that day.

I just came back Thursday night from the NE and brought the cooler temps with me……

Cue the moron who gives no clue where he/she/it lives and says it’s been in the 60’s every morning with highs in the ‘80’s and it feels so good.
