Market hasn't reacted like I thought it would today

The VIX was climbing this morning in pre-market trading. You'd have thought with the events in the Middle East the markets would have taken an initial free fall.
But nope.
After a steep early decline, US stocks rebounded as investors assessed the consequences of strikes between the US, Israel, and Iran, as well as the resulting counterattacks. By late morning, both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq moved into positive territory, and the Dow regained most of its earlier losses.
Oil was the main source of volatility, with Brent surging roughly 6% and WTI climbing near $71. The slowdown in tanker movement through the Strait of Hormuz raised concerns among traders about supply disruptions. Investors continue to pay close attention to how rising energy costs might impact inflation, especially following February's turbulent performance in tech and AI stocks.

I expect that we would have a had a couple of wild days if the bombing had started when the markets were open. But, with the bombing starting on Saturday, by the time the markets opened Monday morning we had a much better idea what was going on.

Lockheed Martin stock is rising so fast it needs a call sign.

Trump does that intentionally.
Could very well see a relief rally and oil back in the 60s if this all blows over soon.

Trump’s “4 weeks” estimate reminds me of his Easter prediction during the beginning of COVID. I’m going to stay on the sidelines for a bit until there’s stability in Iranian leadership

Not today for me. We're probably going to be bumpy until Iran has expended its weapons (ie: the news stories about Iranian missiles and drones drop and people are able to start flying in/out of ME airports again).
