Honestly yea it does. If he’s healthy and starts today Aggie doesn’t pump out 5 runs.

They only needed 3

And the point was healthy or not, this team isn’t going anywhere

I agree. But when Cowan got pulled Aggie didn’t score another run…. Moore could have limited the damage

We get it bud. The season isn’t going the way any of us thought it would. However, some of the adults here would still like to discuss some baseball shite instead of just cry all the time

“He’s certainly not going to go back to four or five innings right away,” Johnson said. “But we’re hopeful, and even one inning – one scoreless inning – is something that I’ll be happy to take as he’s one of the best pitchers on our staff.”
When he's back it’s not going to be for too long. Probably something like 2-3 Sunday innings. Starkville would be a hell of a place to return

With Jay inevitably going ham in the portal, truth is Moore’s spot in the 2027 rotation is anything but secure right now. Not sure how many innings he'll get to finish the season...but however many that ends up being, he needs to finish strong on SEC competition

I would consider him done for the year. CJJ never gives true injury updates..

That was what I thought from the moment that injury happened.

I don’t think we see him in a starter type capacity this year.
If we get some wins and it looks like we will sneak into the post season, we might see him in some short outings to see what he can or can’t handle yet.

Cooper Moore was never going to pitch this weekend unless we had a lead

Moore could’ve pitched an entire game and give up only one run all game and this putrid LSU lineup would have found a way to get shutout and lose 1-0.

Yeah, it's hard to see this team going on a late season run. That 2024 team was way better than this one. I think it's more likely that we get swept again this weekend.

Last Jay said he would be available to pitch this past weekend, but it would be in a different role. I took that to mean he would not start this weekend, but might come in out of the pen in the right situation.

I'm thinking we might see him in a midweek game for a few batters before we see him in SEC play.

He has said he is throwing in practice.
