Y'all do realize they had 6-7 key players out for various stretches of their season which was a big driver of that losing record. They weren't at full strength until right before the Ohio Valley Tourney. They won that conf last season. Cano only had like 150ABs all season. He was injured for a stretch in the middle of their season.

Cano got storybook hot during the Regional, but on a much larger sample size, his hitting was pretty anemic throughout their 19-33 season. I’d be worried that was closer to the norm.

He was hitting .215 coming into the regional dude.
Does he have some talent? Maybe.
