If lsu goes 8-7 through the first 15, theyll likely host a regional and be in a decent spot to host a super. Because 11-4 in the 2nd half is very doable

I said 9-6 worst case because I expect to sweep MSU and don’t see any reason this group would go below .500 over the next 4. Granted they’re all top 10 teams but we are too and half of them are at home. We’re capable of winning every one of those series as well which is why I said 11-4 best case scenario.

I'm fine taking just 1 of 3 at Arkansas. But screw Tennessee. Daddy can whip that arse, even if he travels to your house to do it.

if I had to put it on a scale and I was looking at record only not knowing how each game pans out I’d grade our first half of SEC play like this:
11-4 or better A+
10-5 A
9-6 B+
8-7 B (certainly not what I’d call outstanding, but clearly fine with it)
7-8 C
6-9 C-
5-10 or worse failing

Our pitching is damn good and just now developing

While I don't miss a pitch of LSU baseball, I honestly have no clue what the rest of the SEC is looking like right now other than what I occasionally read about. But I'll guess.
9-6
9-6

nearly impossible to pull off considering 2 series are at Arky and at Tenn. I don’t see them winning both of those series and I don’t think they could sweep either team
You haven’t watched more than 3 pitches from either of these teams so please just STFU

Florida is off to a slow start so far this year. There is a real possibility that LSU can sweep them at home.
They don't have the top to bottom threats in the order that they did last year and their starting pitching is not up to normal UF standards. Their Friday night guy got smoked by St. Johns to start the season and while he seems to have settled in, has yet to throw more than 5 innings. Their Saturday guy is a true freshman who will be making his 2nd career road start, his first being a loss @Miami. Sunday they throw Cags who is still has a wild arm, lots of BBs and Ks, low BA Against. LSU chased him after 1.1 innings in the winner take all game last year.
5-1 to start. 5-4 the rest. So I say 10-5.

I don`t know what their record will be but if it`s 8-7
this board will be looking for a new coach.JJ is the best
BB coach in the SEC and as such he will find ways to win 2 out of 3 most weekends in the early conference schedule.
That is just what he does.He has LSU back to the intimidating program that Skip had and that is half the
battle right there.

Sounds like you don’t have very high hopes for this team. I believe they are a lot better than the record you are predicting. The pitching alone I think will carry this team to a better record than you are predicting in that span.

11-4 with possible arky series loss 1-2
Posted on 3/5/24 at 1:02 pm to Tiger1988
9-6
I think we lose the series at Arky 1-2 and go 2-1 in the rest.

That couldn’t be further from the truth.
I’m not sure if people actually looked at LSU‘s second-half schedule. Because they are going to win over 20+ games. If history tells us anything when you win that many games you’re going to be in the running for the conference title. So eight and seven or nine and six in the first half would be outstanding, because the second half they are going to run over the rest of the conference.
I’m sure there will be some kind of slip up, but I am fully expecting them to sweep multiple teams in the second half.
