I do not "hate" BK. I did not like the hire and even more so the contract. He's our coach. If he wins a natty here that'll make 4 HCs in a row to win nattys. Pretty cool feat. So I want him to win.
But dismissing criticism as hate is misguided. He had over 30 years HC experience when hired. He was expected (at least by one fan) to have plan, get everyone aligned, and execute it.
But he messed up his staff from day 1. And if you think Sloan and Davis are problem children, it's still messed up. He's not allowed to make such rookie mistakes. On his watch, we had the worst D in our history in '23.
And last year, we had 4 returning starters on OL. And we still struggled to run the ball. Nothing to do with NIL or the portal. Just poor coaching from the top.

Most of your points made sense but this did not. The portal allows you to build faster and allow a team to be better in less time not more. This can be a double edged sword. If you lose players quickly to other college teams you can also regress quickly as well.

Most of the hate is coming from people who want a coach who walks, talks and thinks like them ( read...thinks like an idiot ).
Kelly is doing about as good as job as he has done. Yes, I think we can do better but in the era of NIL you do not have the kind of depth that we used to previously, also geography matters less...that is why injuries hurt a team. Also transfer portal means a lot of churn and unpredictability.
Managing NIL, the TP, navigating a formidable SEC schedule it not for the faint of heart, not for the "yaw yaw yaw yaw football" idiots. But most of the idiot haters can look past the fact that he is not a stupid bufoon like them.

IF our Tigers don't make the playoffs I believe even Kelly will realize our D was playoff caliber but fault squarely falls on the Offense.IF post season Kelly doesn't make some changes starting with firing Sloan and others IMO Kelly is as stupid and stubborn as Miles was !

He gets paid 10 mil a year (guaranteed for ten years) to ensure his players execute holding on the ball, to not throw ints, to catch passes...So yeah, the players ability to perform is on him.
And I don't hate him...I just don't like the fact that he's lost 3 games a year his whole career and is likely to do that again here. Its just what and who he is.

Middling would be an upgrade! They usually have minimum 2 head scratcher losses a year, bad 1st drives, no in game adjustments besides looking puzzled/pissed and then we need to coach/execute better. This is the most common theme of 4years on BK! His specialty of OL has been bad even with 4 pros you can’t run 1 yard or man up vs a DL. That’s Bad and shows how SOFT the Program is now!

Its not so much as being hate. Its realizing he'll NEVER EVER be the one to take a team all the way.
His style is dead, ancient, and athletes dont respond to it.

He's just not a likable person, which I could GAF about. Saban wasn't either.
But he's getting paid a lot, time to make the playoff and if he doesn't that unlikability won't help him.

I don’t hate Kelly…hell, I don’t know him.
But, I believe the LSU program should be in contention for a championship every year…consistently…Kelly is proving…consistently proving…that he can’t meet that standard.
For that reason, I think he needs to go. It’d be awesome if he could prove me wrong.

When people talk shite about Brian Kelly they should be required to list who they would like as his replacement, so we can see how terrible that would turn out.

I think he could’ve done a better job of managing expectations this year, especially knowing how bad then offensive line was going to be and adding in the Nuss injury. Yes, people would’ve criticized him for that as well (no win situation) but at least the semi-rational fans would’ve appreciated the honesty and prepared for this poor showing to start the season. Instead, everyone but the sunshine pumpers are pissed off and expectations going forward are in the tank.
