Lots of people here will be calling for him to be fired immediately. (you know who you are).

2 championships and a contract extension. And he is still married to his wife.
A true role model.
Edit: Sorry Ed, I had the opportunity and I took it.

2 titles in 4 years. I'd say he's worth it.

this. He will retire here and win several more titles. LSU is going to be pushing USC for the most titles with this man.

We’ve done this too many times and I’m not getting into it again. The way LSU reports revenue per sport excludes a lot of actual revenue that is generated by the sport, but not necessarily directly.
So where do you think the extra $2 million in revenue for baseball is hidden? Btw, I have no problem with the baseball team losing money, I’m just not going to pretend that it’s not happening.

Maybe now he can afford to buy some clothes that fit so he won’t look like Barney Fife or Danny Devito out there? Lol

It lost $2 million in 2023-2024. The Omaha run and title will probably bring that make up closer to even this year, but with the coaching salaries and expenses it's pretty much running underwater every year
And what factors did you research that lead to $2 million lost? Taking one year as an example does not make an average. Well I guess it technically can, but it’s a piss poor average lol. It’s just the last couple of years that we saw a deficit. Led by expenses nearly doubling those compared to just 2 years ago.

The powerhouse dynasty is in great hands
Not out of the question that we catch USC during his tenure

Mercy... I remember when that much would raise eyebrows for a football coach. Good for him!

Jay has been at LSU for 4 years, and won 2 national championships. He deserves every penny.

In addition to the 2 NC's he's won at LSU, memory hopefully working today, his Arizona team came within 1 out from winning a NC there. What's the second best thing to me about him, #1 being a NC coach, is he is HC-wise young.
