I think once you accept payment for your services, you open yourself up to criticism.

He’s the same age as Caleb Williams, C.J. Stroud, Cameron Ward, Drake Maye, and J.J. McCarthy. He’s getting paid, just like them. Wtf are you talking about?

He refused to play in a bowl game after the starter transfer. He is no Travis Daniels

quote:

As a freshman at LSU in 2001, Daniels saw his first action of the season against Tennessee in the SEC Championship game. He was forced into action after an injury to Randall Gay. Prior to his appearance, he was going to redshirt his freshman year. When asked about giving up his redshirt, he said, "I play for the name on my helmet, not the name on the back of my jersey."

Bottom line is he’s a kid, not even close to being fully developed mentally yet. When we were that age, none of us would have turned down millions. I don’t fault him.
He is a 5th year senior, lol. At his age I had a kid and a full time job. My father in law went to Vietnam in an infantry unit at 18 years old. Nuss is not a kid, lol. If you want to show him some grace and compassion that’s your choice, but he isn’t a child.

That

He's a professional football player.

Period.

He should be judged and criticized as such.

I hope he invested that money wisely, because he has no future in football!

Bottom line is you’re a moron! Nuss is a grown man getting ready to be married. He’s a 5th year senior not an 8th grader!

quote:

He’s a heart broken kid

Again not a kid, but I’m glad he’s heartbroken. His lack of effort this offseason translated to a lot of broken hearts on his team, school, and fanbase!

He decided not to burn an entire season of eligibility for a meaning less game with hardly any players. You and I would have done the same thing. You can deny it, but him deciding to redshirt was the right thing.

He’s a pussy who cashed millions of LSU’s dollars to throw check downs game after game. He doesn’t deserve to represent LSU. Only way I’ll ever respect that pussy is if he returns the millions he stole from LSU

Nuss is a grown man. The fact that he’s immature doesn’t change this fact.

I didn’t care that much at the time he opted out of the bowl game. In the end it didn’t make any difference because Nuss has progressed with the extra year.

Negative.

He's 23. You do realize that a 23 years old is old enough to be a Sgt of Marines, a State Trooper, a nurse, and a fire fighter, all with multiple years of experience protecting life and defending property with the understanding of how to operate heavy machinery, weapons systems, and medical equipment, right?

Nuss has had how many years to understand how to play football at LSU?

No, he's not a kid. He's a grown-arse man.

He IS a dedicated Tiger, though. For that, he'll always have my respect.

Look I don’t have any personal animosity towards him and he seems like a good kid

But the way he’s played this year, he is the worst QB we have seen since Brandon Harris and I don’t think that’s even questionable.

I have no opinion of what type of person Nussmeier is, because obviously, I do not know him. The problem is that the NCAA has created an intolerable situation, because it did not stand up to lawsuits. Now the college game has become a professional game, and if you play poorly the fans are going to take out their frustrations on you.

no true competitor would have sat and left their teammates out to dry, regardless of the game importance. He is a loser.

Me either, but the overall level of QB play has to improve next. Nuss is not a good QB.
