Mickey won't trade down. Period. He doesn't believe in the value of such moves. He is a believer of quality of pick over quantity of picks. So, y'all need to drop this trade down shite cause he won't do it.

Not me. Terrible value picking a rb that high.

Can we stop drafting 6ft and below WRs? there's 2 part to this - being a good receiver is nice, but being unable to provide anything to the run game is problematic.

While our OL sucks, the downfield blocking also lacks our ability to get a big play as well.

2020: 6th in YPG - 49 yard longest run
2021: 15th in YPG - 44 yard longest run
2022: 19th in YPG - 60 yard longest run
2023: 21st in YPG - 29 yard longest run
2024: 14th in YPG - 75 yard longest run
2025: 28th in YPG - 34 yard longest run

Man if we hadnt gotten cute and went on a useless winning streak we’d be able to draft arvell Reese who could completely transform our defense

^* joking btw. That glimpse of hope we saw with Shough at the helm was way more valuable than any one player in this draft.

He will if CKM tells him "this is how we win". Now if the entire draft and scout team tells CKM its a horrible idea that's when Loomis steps in.

Passing on Downs there would be ridiculous

Well were at no.8 I think several players can fit that category.
The #1 CB will be available
The #1 TE
The #1 IOL
The #1 RB
The #1 DT
Perhaps the
#1 safety

Maybe we just take Howell

I can’t wait for the meltdown here when we inevitably do not pick Delane

Right now, Bailey would be my favorite pick at 1.8, with us getting a guard in the second.

I’m not a Bain fan. He played well in the playoffs, but I was not impressed with him during the season. Too many questions for 1.8 IMO.

Based on this mock, I’d take Downs. I’d be okay with Love, Delane or Styles. Lemon’s a bit small for what we need IMO.

Right now I want either Bailey, Reese, Downs, Tate, Fano or Delane. Pretty much in that order.

David Bailey might be my favorite prospect in the whole draft. To me he looks like a more polished slightly better Jared Verse. I would be ecstatic if he were the choice at 8.

The Saints used 3+ WRs on 67.8% of their plays in 2025, the third-highest rate in the NFL. We need a guy or two whether it’s lemon or someone else

This would be worst case scenario to me. All three pass rushers in Bain, Reese and Bailey are gone, plus the two OTs from Miami and Utah. In this scenario, id want to trade down. I really want to come away with one of those five, or stock up on more picks.

If I had to pick from one of the players available, its Delane or Downs.

The more tape that I watch in Lemon, the more I like him. I have heard people compare him to St. Brown, and I can see it mixed in with some JSN.

He runs good routes, has strong hands, makes contested catches, good return ability, and good YAC.

The best scenario (of course) would be to trade back and pick him outside of the top 10 and get at least another pick out of it.

But if the FO is worried that trading back will cause them to lose him to another team…. I would be good with “sticking and picking” there.

I am also good with Love at that spot as well (and I don’t usually like a RB that high)…….as long as we take care of IOL in FA and not just rely on the draft to fix it.

I’d be thrilled with Lemon. Can’t really go wrong with the pick tbh.

But I do think KC moves up for Love

Are you actually trying to make the point that taller receivers block better than shorter receivers?? Because if you are, that’s really dumb.

So you are saying that if Tate and Lemon and Love are all there, you would say, "Nothin to see here, I'm trading down."

You're crazy.

Saints need a threat in the backfield and AK is working on year 9 in the league.

Here’s the thing…Saints need a lot! We need a #1 WR, a DT, RG, LG, LBer, CB, RB, & pass rusher.

No silver bullet 1st rounder is fixing this team. We just need to build and take BPA of the above positions. Including S if Downs is available.

Going from #8 to #10 isn't the type of trade down Mickey will refuse to do. If its 10 spots then sure. Downs is the better player but we have (2) starting Saftey's. We currently have 0 CB1 and might lose our best CB2.

Delane at CB is a bigger need than Love or Downs. Its a better pick for how the current roster is constructed. If we can pickup 2-3 top 110 picks then its a great deal. KC/ CIN have 73, 74, 109, 110.

If Bailey is there at #8 then you take him. Otherwise you try to trade back Love/ Downs for Delane. I'd be cool with Delane or Styles in a trade back if we are getting solid picks.
