With a week and a half to go, I’m curious about the popularity of certain players amongst Saints fans. My list:

Celebrate:
W. Johnson, CB
T. Warren, TE
Any top rated O lineman
M. Graham,d line
J. Walker, d line

Hate:
S. Sanders
J. Dart
T. McMillan, WR
M. Starks, S
S. Stewart, d line
J. Pearce, d line

Playmaker on offense or pass rusher on defense, I like to shore up the O line with a guard in 2nd or 3rd. I'd like Warren or Walker

This with the exception of being neutral on TMac. At least it gives us one big WR

Would love

T. McMillan, WR M. Starks, S

Or any CB

Would hate.

Honestly with the QBs I’d be excited and hopeful and at least it would be interesting. If a modern, young NFL head coach is willing to gamble his coaching career on it then frick it let’s ride.

I’d love to get Mason Graham, Abdul Carter or Jalon Walker.

I would hate Jackson Dart at 9. I just don’t think he’s that good.

We are so talent deficient, I’m open to almost anyone. Will Campbell, Ashton Jeanty, Mykel Williams, Will Johnson, Tyler Warren, etc.

I don’t really want Pearce Jr. because of his character issues, but if CKM takes him I won’t exactly melt.

I think Sanders at 9 is a big reach. But again, if CKM takes him, I won’t melt, but I’ll just try to stay cautiously optimistic.

I would celebrate these 2.

I wanted oline and dline but with carr and shouldergate it may be time to get a QB. None of these qb's excite me but carr is really screwing the team. It also could be a blessing in disguise.

Celebrate:
T Warren - another weapon, TE also takes time to grow and we're not moving anywhere this year. 700 yards this year, 1k+ next year!
Any OL (even campbells short arms)
Most Edge or DI (see hate for 2)
Most CB or LB - we're really void of talent

Hate
Stewart - can be danielle hunter, can be davenport...risky for #9
T. McMillan - closer to Laquon Treadwell than Mike Evans
Pearce - with the baggage and 'effort' questions, not worth at #9
Jeanty - love the player, not at 9
Dart or Sanders - while I personally think Moore likes his QB, get him his QB...I see big issues with both of them. If his job is THAT secure, than better off to wait a year and load up on more talent at 9.

I honestly only want Jalon Walker at this point. But mine would be…

Jalon Walker
Graham
Warren
Mykel Williams
Membou

Hate

Tet
Dart
Stewart
Pearce

I’d be indifferent with anyone else.

Guys I’d be nervous yet excited about? Mike Green.

I kind of feel that way about any of the picks. I am sure he will be given at least 3 years to prove himself, but this first pick will sort of set the tone for him.

Trade down
Get picks
Select best player available

The Saints will do none of that.

I think you missed all the other threads where we agreed that there are not enough highly regarded players in the draft where teams want to move up. They’re going to take who falls to them out of say Johnson, Barron, or Revel, or Stewart, Williams or Green.

This is likely a draft everyone after 6 or 7 will be looking to move back.

I have zero issue with that.

I still think 9 is high enough to have some trade interest, we will see. But it is without a doubt the worst draft I can remember and I've been around a minute

Get Rattler or whoever is going to be piloting this team in 2025 some offensive weapons.

Warren in the first
Higgins in the second

Or McMillan in the first
Mason Taylor in the second

After that whatever value/position the deem necessary.

It seems like the biggest consensus so far is that everyone loves Ty Warren or would be okay with him.
