That's quite a pull from your arse if I ever saw one. I've seen GMC Sierra 1500 work trucks with the barest of minimum AND back seats for $37k. Probably has roll down windows, but this is the accurate rate for a current "work truck".

Then shouldn’t there be a bunch of repos flooding the market and bringing down prices?

I drive a paid for 2018 stock Nissan Versa and my wife drives her paid for 2006 Chevy Trailblazer. They'll both be driving until they don't anymore. Not dealing with this overpriced car bullshite if I don't have to.

Me and my wife were considering getting a separate car, cuz it gets tiresome sharing at times. But with the rising cost of cars, that probably won't be happening anytime soon.

The low income, lower middle class is being dumped. Companies don’t need you anymore. There’s enough people out there making $300k as a household that increased grocery prices and car prices may bother but don’t actually cause them real trouble.

How many households make over $300K? Currently, only 4.3% of households in the US make over $300k per year.

Seriously wtf. I have a 0% loan and $550 pmt. Bought 2 years ago. I'm dragging the average down. Imagine what's jacking it up!

However, when many people today go in to buy a car they don't really focus all that much on the total price. Just the monthly loan obligation. They may not be able to afford a $1300+ monthly note on a 48 month loan.
But they can afford a sub $1000 note on a 72-84 month loan...which are becoming more and more common.
And once the crisis unsustainable, our government will step in to help with “car purchases can be extended to 120 month loans”.

Yeah, I got an awakening on car prices recently myself. I really haven't been paying attention because I haven't been in the market for one in the last few years but I was just browsing the CarMax site the other day and they have a 6 year old Nissan Frontier listed for $27,000.
It's a nice looking truck, pretty loaded with low mileage but 27k sure seems pretty damn high for a 6 year old vehicle to me. But apparently I'm wrong about that nowadays

You guys are looking at the wrong cars and places. Example:
That's a really good price for an M-Sport. That's an $80k car off the lot.

The BMW is cheaper because it’s out of warranty. Out of warranty German cars can be money pits.

They are often neglected after the free maintenance period is up because they are too expensive to keep running.
So they end up mechanically totaled before 120,000 miles. Jaguar/Land Rover used to be the worst offender, but now it's probably BMW.
Also - some of the things that BMW considers wear or "maintenance" items would be considered a catastrophic breakdown in a Lexus, Cadillac, or Volvo. Things that a Silverado or F-150 driver would never put up with.

Problem is that those trucks were $25,000 or less in 2010. And $37K is considered a very good deal today for that base model work truck. Most are closer to $45K.

BidenOmics is working, they are killing us financially and physically. Their plan could not be orchestrated any better. And all these village idiots getting in line like little small peen sheep will one day realize their mistake of being a small Minded punk and selling out humanity!

This guy gets it. It’s the best kept secret that no one ever talks about.
Millions of business owners won mini-lotteries with the PPP “loans”. All enriching themselves to the tune of tens and in some cases hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The amount of fraud that came from this is staggering.

Nowadays it's harder to find a vehicle without dual zone A/C, backup camera, Bluetooth/SXM, heated seats, and all the excess bells and whistles. For sure prices are heavily inflated. I do think that as technology gets better and more affordable, the prices should flatten out, but with cars they just continue to rise.

Never buy a used luxury car unless the dealer offers a bumper to bumper warranty of some sort.
