It’s calories in vs. calories out

Actually it’s not that simplistic. The type of calories as well as the timing matters as well. What I mean by that is promotion of lean body mass through eating regular intervals of protein is important as adding/preserving lean body mass will cause a higher caloric burn for the day.

One does not need to go too long from eating protein as their body will go to a catabolic state and start breaking down lean body mass as its calorie burning effect is seen as a liability when you don’t eat. Lots more to unearth but the calories in calories out doesn’t paint a good and accurate picture of things.

Hydration yes. Fuel no

Americans are so weak. Your body performs very well fasted. I love how I feel after a workout fasted. Mind is so clear

Most important meal of the day was a marketing ploy by Kelloggs.

I work nights and eat 3 eggs when I wake up at around 3pm. Does that count as breakfast?

I’m not sure how anyone can hit a protein target of 1g per lb of target weight without eating breakfast. I try to make breakfast reasonable: overnight oats with protein powder or some eggs and bacon.

So many rules. Intermittent fasting. Etc.

I just know breakfast is the easiest breakfast for me to skip. And if I have some discipline and don't eat anything after dinner, that automatically gets me an intermittent fasting window.

I love breakfast food but the thought of rolling out of bed and straight to a table to eat that and wash it down with OJ grosses me out.

Don't know what I hated more about Walter Jr, that he was a ungrateful spoiled brat or that he wouldn't STFU about breakfast in the morning.

It's a hormone issue for many people. Some people are able to push through it and eventually their body adjusts. But for many they have to choose between eating something (which should be some lightly sweetened yogurt, nuts, etc.as mentioned) or feeling like shite because their brain is releasing hormones telling them to eat.

Everyone needs to do what makes them feel most optimal

For me personally, I feel my absolute best eating once a day around 3-4 pm, going to bed @ 9pm and waking up @ 5am
