I've got no problem with action against pornhub, especially if they had tacit knowledge of various abusive backstories alleged. But what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

This is the truth right here. They are quietly one of the largest companies when it comes data collection and search engine marketing. They get over 115 million hits per day where they extract user data. Easily one of the largest companies when it comes that, which they then sell off to non-porn related advertisers and product promoters.
It's actually a very interesting business model they cracked. They know that porn generates the most opportunity to extract user data because of volume of visits. They operate those sites at a loss or not to generate profit, they are just vehicles for data collection. The data is where the profit is.
Remember if there is no charge for you to use a technology; you are the product that they are trying to profit from.

This might be a piece of the equation, but there are bigger pieces. Parents don't say "no" or spank their kids. Everybody gets a trophy. Constant gaming in dark rooms without friends. Social media showing us how fancy others live. Education system more worried about woke concepts than math and reading. Keyboard cowboys on the internet.
When you constantly tell people that there are no consequences, that everybody is living better than them, dont socialize them enough, and promise rewards with no connection to input or work effort, you are pretty much guaranteed a disgruntled population.
I don't doubt a lot of young folks have really weird expectations for intimacy after watching some weird stuff out there.
