Care to explain?

Sure. We didn't do any of this for the oil. We did it because of the drugs.

Who cares why? We stuck it to a commie. That’s reason enough. F Venezuela. They should’ve had a better defense. Strong> Weak

So nobody can rub two brain cells together and answer the question, this board is pathetic. What's the f****** average age here like 65 people talk about Marxism and communism you got to be old as f***
I would have thought this board is young as f***. Nobody with any semblance of maturity would fall for the stuff the majority of this board falls for.

Yeah, even the Venezuelans who are happy Maduro is out are going to want to have a word about whose oil it is.

You, and Craig obviously know nothing about the history of Venezuela and what happened to the oil companies that were working there before the communist took over.

m assuming that most of the security will be handled by a heavy amount of private military organizations. I don't know about constant air support, also explosions next to oil slash gas is not ideal. If guerilla tactics start to be used, and workers get killed etc how long do we let it go on for? It's not just going to be like hey you took over, you can take all the oil peacefully, there's going to be fighting, how long do we keep air support and all of that going without putting boots on the ground.

Lol, you are aware we just toppled their regime in 7 min without so much as a stubbed toe.

But your concern is noted.

People get killed everyday.

So now that that is out of the way, how much security do you think will be required on a day-to-day basis to allow these oil companies to extract and refine the oil?

Quite a bit. It will depend on how much resistance they’ll be dealing with. It should be enough to harden perimeters at every well, pipeline junction, and refinery. It may include armed convoys for all personnel and equipment. It will include constant surveillance and intelligence gathering. It will include redundant logistics routes because pipelines will get targeted.

It will include US support, but local support will carry the most risk.

As long as there is a political will.

It’s both oil and the Monroe Doctrine. Drugs are also a consideration, but further down the list.

Your tds shows bro.

It doesnt matter why. Maduro fricked around and found out. End of story. Trump has balls, your dem associates dont.

Trump is the first guy to make a deal. What kind of douchebag Maduro must be to force Trump's hand to take back what was rightfully our's. Smdh. Answer that one. You cant.

Any moron who believes the USA doesn’t need secure, stable energy supply is as dumb as a rock. The majority of geopolitical moves are about energy.

Multiple cartel(s) are heavily involved in the area. You have former government supporters, gangs, etc.

I'm assuming that most of the security will be handled by a heavy amount of private military organizations.

Yes, this is exactly what I voted for.

It's going to take a small military presence for a year or two.

I just want us to seize control of all of the oil.

...let the citizens revolt and kill each other if needed.

You are a special kind of stupid.

The oil is theirs. In case you didn’t know, all the majors had a presence down there not long ago. They pulled it out the ground and provided the technology and some of the labor do get the oil to the market. Venezuela made good money off of this set up and their country was much better because of it.

So no, we aren’t “taking” their oil. .
