I’m sure pre Katrina total turnout was higher.

That’s not why he lost. JBae ran strong in republican territory st Tammany Won at Charles etc. plus JBE got the vote out in Jefferson and Orleans

Election wasn’t lost in N Louisiana It was won by JBE in S Louisiana

Rispone was cheesy. JBE had the sheriffs. That's huge in Louisiana.

I didn’t really pay attention much at the time. Was he a rino or just lacked charisma? It amazes me republicans lose statewide in such a red state like louisiana.
Democratic incumbent that lots of R's (the majority of voters) claimed to dislike and want cast out of office. But the R voters split into 2 blocs, and when the candidate for 1 of the blocs didn't make the runoff, that bloc chose to sit at home and not vote at all. Meanwhile, the Dem machine, which would vote for an automated sink if it were registered "D", voted en masse as they always do, and won.
Like I said, I see the same signs nationally for president. We all say we abhor Biden, but apparently not enough to vote for someone other than their own personal top choice. Thus dooming everyone to another term of Dems.

JBE got more votes in Orleans Parish than Black Jesus did in 2012. What’s that tell you? It was stolen in Orleans Parish.

That was amazing. What a coincidence.
Used to cover up the EBT cards that were handed out to get that very high turnout in NOLA

At least you admit that thin-skinned crybaby Abraham voters got JBE re-elected.
I almost didn’t vote in the runoff after I voted for Abraham in the general election. But I held my nose and voted for Rispone in the runoff. Then I went home and immediately took a shower to get the stink off of me.

Butt hurt Ralph Abrams voters.
No doubt there were a lot - but the numbers don’t add up. Rispone got all of Abraham’s vote + 50K.
JBE some how found 150K voters. Ridiculous.

Ralph Abraham was a much better candidate

He was a terrible campaigner.
His only message was "I support Trump". Trump endorsement did nothing for him. Trump didn't work too hard for him because he and JBE were buddies on letting people out of jail.

Pissed off Abraham voters
Never really had his own message - was always TRUMP! and that was it.
Basically, he listened to the wrong fricking campaign advisors. He had good ideas and a good personal story, but didn't start talking about any of that until the week before the election and by then it was too late.

That wasn’t suspicious at all. No one did a damn thing about it either.

He looked like a guy who had no idea what he was doing or, much less, why he was running for governor.
I never saw him discuss any type of original idea or thought. Many of his ads seemed to talk more about national issues and how he supported Trump than anything pertaining to Louisiana.

but the Bible Belt, North Louisiana fricknuts were too sad to show up and vote
Both candidates barely got over 700,000 votes. Sounds like both North AND South Louisiana didn't show up to vote.
But by all means, carry on
