The Dyson Daniels Appreciation Thread

This dude is so underrated, he's already an incredible defender and will be a much better player than what he's shown for us. I won't forget one of his last games where he went 4/5 from 3.
Good luck mate. I hope you crush it with ATL.

I’ll miss that dude.

I liked Dyson and appreciated the effort he brought every night.
Can he be better than thybull though? I personally just don’t see him improving much on offense. Shot doesn’t look fluid and he had major confidence issues. Hope he figures it out in the eastern conference!

Really liked him, but I also liked Josh Hart and NAW, and trading them was the right move, just like this one was.

as a rookie, asked to be the primary defender in a last second shot.
and legit went 1v1 and won us a game.
Hope he continues to do well, his ceiling is a dejounte murray IMHO. hope he can get there one day.

I’m probably Dyson’s biggest fan. He’s going to be a good role player in this league for a long time.

probably not a popular take, but i'm pretty indifferent to Daniels.... didn't think he was a "bad" player, but he also wasn't very good either.... yes, he's a great defender, but gave us essentially nothing offensively, so he was "off night" Herb Jones... i really don't think Daniels will ever develop offensively to be a starter in the NBA, as i think his shot is awkward and sort of "broken", and his confidence is damn near non-existant.... a change of scenery/coaching will serve him well, but in the end, he's really not a terrible loss, the way I see it

What? Hawks fans say Murray’s defense was not good and severely overrated. If Dyson learns to shoot and grows balls on offense, he will surpass Murray.,

He's the exact opposite on this board.
Dude literally couldn't crack our shitty postseason rotation because his offensive game is miles behind most top college players.

To be fair, everyone who goes to the Hawks with defensive talent ends up looking worse coming out than they did coming in. Capela, Bey, Murray, and even their own DeAndre Hunter hasn't looked good in years.

I am officially a Hawks fan going forward. Dyson will figure it out offensively on top of being a top 5 perimeter defender in the league. Y’all just have no patience, wanted to throw him in the fire first game back from injury when it was against the Celtics. Dejounte is not a savior

Maybe he will, but there is no data to support this.

Don't see him ever being a 20 ppg guy. He's a good fit with Young though because he can make up the defensive deficiencies and not worry as much about the offensive side like Murray.

This was my biggest problem with him. He was Simmons level afraid of taking shots (including layups).

I highly doubt they will keep Trae. I think Hawks will be moving a lot of guys.

So you were just a Dyson fan not a Pels fan? We get it. There was nothing about him that wasn’t tradeable. He is the exact player that allows you to make trades like this. Good defender, raw, basically no offensive talent. I liked him but didn’t care whether he stayed or went. We just got a really good player for nance, a couple picks, and a player who will never start on a playoff team. And people still complain. This place is a cesspool

No EJ appreciation thread….lol

I am a Pels fan but I hate to see our Gm who is on the hot seat make trades that mortgage away our future in an attempt to save his job. I was one of the only people against the CJ McCollum trade, and I was 100% validated. We keep trading for stars with name appeal but they aren’t players that put us over the hump. I’m not even necessarily saying Dyson was untouchable, but that it shouldn’t have been for Dejounte. If we got Trae Young then I’d be celebrating right beside y’all
