We have a few dudes that seem like every time they make contact the ball is coming off hard as shite. Thats going to play throughout the year.

Only negative over first 5 games but jay and yeskie will figure it out

It was 6 going into today so dropped almost a run. If we played nine today and didn’t give up a run in the ninth then it would be below 5 right now. We need to wait until at least about half way through the season to judge the ERA stat. Heck one pitcher had an ERA go from 80 to 20 with only pitching 1 inning. Let them get enough innings in along with some tougher competition before we see what they are

You can see they are letting guys work through innings right now that need it. Other guys dominate, but only get them out of a jam and someone else is in to pitch.

I believe the ERA will find a better home than 5 as Yeskie learns each pitcher. The WHIP is still nice, and the strikeout numbers are obviously still nice.
We are striking out very little and walking alot. OBP and SLG are nice, but these will normalize as we see better better pitching consistently.
Fielding seems good enough but that will be tested along the way.
Curiel leads the team in strikeouts (tied with Arrambide) and is way down on the list in OBP. He will shoot up in due time.
Ruckert and Pearson lead the team in SLG and OPS, albeit it in limited ABs comparatively. They are above the white hot Jake Brown.

Personally, I’m not concerned about this number at all. We just played 5 games in 6 days. We pitched a lot of guys. Jay & Nate are just figuring what they got, and who can they count on.
When the “real” season starts (SEC play), it’s all about winning 2 of 3 games. The # of pitchers that will be pitching on weekends will be greatly reduced to the very best, & those that can truly perform.
I feel very confident that we have enough pitchers that are more than good enough to get us through 3 games each weekend.

He needs to be dropped down in the lineup
Yall can dv me all you want, but there are better hitters than him and he needs to earn being top 4 in the lineup

The team ERA is 5.05.
The bullpen will come together as the season progresses. It does every year.

Haven’t faced great pitching yet, but less than 6 K’s per game is a good stat.

The dude has a nickname. His walkout song is it's namesake. Quit trying to be relevant.
Big Bambineaux is horrible.

every one of Jay’s teams at LSU have been super solid getting on base.
I think 22, 23, 25 we’re all about .400
when a certain poster asked what does jay doe, I said he preaches approach and play discipline.
