I think most of the Mcmen are fat Scott fans. They don’t want fat Scott to be proven as a bigger failure than he was.
It’s extremely odd how many excuses this loser gets

Honestly, to be fair, McMahon should just resign and agree to a lesser buyout. It can't be a good feeling losing game after game after game and watching LSU try all these freebie ticket deals that still don't work to get people to come to home games because the product on the court is so bad and unexciting.
I mean, LSU put out a statement about LSU students leaving the game immediately basically after collecting giveaways upon entry. Just embarrassing and even more embarrassing that LSU was dumb enough to talk about the issue publicly.
I have nothing personally against McMahon. The results show zero hope after 4 years. I was hopeful when we got him and cheered him on. But he needs to just resign.

It's not that. They don't really love McMahon or truly think he is a good coach. They just hate that YOU like Wade so much.
If Wade somehow were to return to LSU the same posters who have constantly made excuses for McMahon will gleefully chime in anytime Wade would lose a game...even though there would be a high probably if he were LSU's coach next season he would win at least 1/2 as many SEC games in one year than McMahon won in 4 (maybe more)
On the flip-side, if McMahon were replaced by ANYONE else but Wade those fans would be great supporters of the new HC right out of the gate and would tell everyone how great the new HC was relative to however Wade was performing at NC State....even if the new HC were performing worse than Wade and/or only slightly better than MM.
It's not about McMahon. It's about hoping ANY coach can prove them right and you wrong for thinking Wade is a good coach and wanting him at LSU.

He's owed roughly $7.5M over the next 3 years if LSU fires him. He has NO market as a HC among major conf. schools, and no mid-major (really low-major) would pay him anywhere close to $2M per year to be their HC. The buyout could realistically be the last big payday of his career.
If LSU were willing to pay a lump sum of something like $5M, I suspect both sides would agree to mutually part ways. But doing so flies in the face of the narrative that the donors have "fatigue"

Fire him, resign I don't care how McClown leaves just get him the frick outta here! He has destroyed the program to the point where the broadcasters of the games are making excuses for him of how good a coach he is and how he keeps the players playing hard even though there getting there doors blown off! Just show him the door and get the brown cloud around this program gone immediately after he loses in the SEC. Tournament!!!

his teams play really hard.

I’m pulling like hell for South Carolina to win. Finishing last in the SEC would add nicely to the stink of the McMahon error.

This may be the least talented lsu team I’ve seen since the 90’s

Hmm, are you saying McMahon is losing because he just doesn't have the talent to compete?
MM not developing or correctly utilizing talent is not the same as not having it.
McMahon needs to be at a mid-major, not a power conference. It is that simple.
Would the team's record be better without the injuries to DJ and Reed? Probably.
Would they be a tournament team in that scenario? Probably not, though I was hopeful early on. I let myself get fooled again, probably because I wanted it so bad. Now I just want another coach.

Impressive work by the head BB coach.....

The argument is more like "we'd be in 9th or 10th place"...which in an of itself shows just how low McMahon has lowered the bar for "success".
"And 11th or 12th place last year if Reed had not gotten hurt and Ward had not quit and that would have made the tournament!!"

If you're not 1st your last. So we are tied with everyone else except 1st place. Eat it.

Well, this is college basketball. Finishing around .500 in the SEC would get us in the NCAAT. So, let's not talk in hyperbole.

Exactly. All LSU basketball fans want is to be in the Big Dance. One of the top 64 teams in the country. Is that too much to ask?

maybe this will push Verge and Co to finally fire him, you know CMM isn't trying anymore and is just coaching to get paid his contract

Steven Pearl who has never been a HC before has more SEC wins in his first season than McMahon does the last two seasons combined
How many games did Tahaad Petiford and Keyshawn Hall miss?
Now tell us how many games Dedan Thomas and Jalen Reed missed?
