No Spartacus. List is shite

Robert E Lee when he fought in the Mexican/American war.

Wasn't Alexander the Great rumored to be light in the loafers?
If true, not sure if that adds or subtracts points for the list. Perhaps a sub-category: "Greatest Warriors in History who would love Cher music" top 5.

I think Gengis Khan should be #1 by far. The only thing that saved an opponent from the wrath of the Mongols was having to return to Mongolia after the death of a Khan. They literally swept through the Chinese, Persians, Arabs, Russians, Polish, and Hungarians without losing a single battle.
I can’t think of any metrics by which he wouldn’t be #1.
Land mass? Genghis.
Killed? Genghis.
Record? Genghis.

Not sure how you put Gengis at 2 there. Should definitely be 1.

Jon Jones would literally kill everyone on the list in the same night if he got to fight them each one on one.
I will give you Jones vs Musashi, fighting in their respective styles, for however much you would like to wager

Yall do understand we are talking thousands of years of evolution and technology right?
You guys think people from BC or AD100 are faster, more agile and lethal than the best mma fighter that’s ever lived in 2026?
I know these guy aren’t retarded and crippled but I have a hard time believing anyone in any of those time periods would even be able to comprehend what was happening to them in real time. It would be stuff they have never see but Jones knows what he’s up against.
The size thing is going to be a big big problem even with a weapon.
Interesting. I’m an idiot.

Joan of Arc was listed at #10. How much hand-to-hand did she do? Or fighting of any kind? I think she just rode around with a flag or something.

In case yall were wondering:
In a hypothetical scenario pitting any historical warrior against Jon Jones armed with a gun, Jon Jones would win immediately due to the overwhelming lethality and range of a firearm. The technological disparity between a gun and any pre-modern weapon makes the outcome virtually certain.

And you think Jones would know what he's up against just because he's seen a calvary in movies or something? The question isn't who is the best hand to hand combat guy, it's best warrior, which entails more than fist fighting hand to hand, which is pretty clear given some of the people on the list.

I'm not calling you one, but you're being kind of narrow minded here.
But on a side note, if we changed Jones opponent/sport up just slightly, Oleksandr Usyk would absolutely wreck Jones' world.

They literally swept through the Chinese, Persians, Arabs, Russians, Polish, and Hungarians without losing a single battle. Gengis started it by conquering his fellow Mongols first, from the saddle I might add.
Alexander never lost any battles either and was also a part of virtually every battle during the Macedonian conquests. Genghis’s generals did most of the work with Russia and Europe. Wherea Genghis was more hands on with the Asian and Arab lands. It’s an interesting debate. Tough to go wrong with either of those two.
Putting guys like Caesar in there is kind of odd. Yeah he’d go to the front lines from time to time to rally troops, but he for the most part he was acting as a general and not involved in the meat of the battle
ETA: Genghis also lost some early battles. One against his blood brother that almost cost him his life (battle of dalan baljut). Blood brother ended up being a real a-hole though and lost a ton of support due to his brutality

Well yeah, if you just gave 10,000 baws on Tiger droppings M16s we’d probably demolish a combined force of mongols and Macedonians. I don’t think that’s really the question here though.
