Roebling suspension bridge from Kentucky to Ohio.
Construction started in 1856, delayed by the civil war and completed by 1866. The birth of wire rope and wire rope suspension bridges.

Yes it is.
Drove up to NYC one time and drove across the GW, BB and VZN bridges. Rather, took a walking tour of the BB. Also drove across the Mackinac Bridge on a trip to the UP once. Fascinated by bridges.

A great bridge. When I travel, I like to walk or drive on a notable bridge. I’ve walked on the Golden Gate and the Brooklyn Bridge, but this one was just as fun.
