Nah, he's a young incel. Wasn't allowed to have sex and that caused him to murder a bunch of people.

What middle aged white male does she get blame for her evil?

Well, technically, Darth Vader. He is in charge of the Inquisitorious and responsible for making them as evil as possible. I guess he may not be "middle-aged" by this point, though.

But is he privileged? Because if he's privileged, it's the same thing.

and for a badass Obi Wan and Vader fight
Not sure how they would pull that off without shitting all over canon from episode 4

Come on man. Surely you don't think Disney cares about this.

I want to reiterate that Favreau and Filoni have not been publicly mentioned as being involved in this project. Hard to imagine they would keep that under wraps since their SW shows are so popular. They are the only ones at Disney who seem intent on preserving canon.

Surely at some point Maul has to show back up as well. We were teased with him at the end of Solo and all of this falls in line with the animated series and be apparently killed 1 of the inquisitors I read?

Both Maul and Vader being in this would break the interwebs

Maul doesn’t find Kenobi on Tatooine until Rebels

We definitely won’t see a Maul interaction with Obi-wan, as Maul is unable to find him until well into the Rebels series.

His hatred for Kenobi kept him alive on a trash planet and his bottom half is robotic. It’s kinda silly but his arcs in Clone Wars and Rebels make up for it

It's been long theorized on reddit by die hard Star Wars nerds way more knowledgable about "canon" than me that based on this line that it's more than plausible that Kenobi and Vader fought at least one more time before their final confrontation in ANH

Technically, based on this line, you would think Anakin would be the one that walked away from their final battle the victor instead of Obi Wan since he says when he "left" Obi Wan. But he never technically left Obi Wan. He left the order, sure and they fought. But he lost. You would think, based on that line, that the last time they basically stalemated and Obi Wan tried to bring Anakin back to the light but Vader walked away from him this time.

That trailer was fantastic, but idk if the show can live up to how good the trailer is.

The scene of ObiWan watching over young Luke and Luke looks just like Anakin, then ObiWan looks older than QuiGon did when he found Anakin, really makes it full circle. Plus the added layer that we’re seeing a much more freshly scarred Obi-Wan than the one in New Hope, yet here he is still watching over the son of his once loved padawan and partner who is now the most feared villain in the galaxy and sworn enemy to Obi-Wan. So many layers to the story coming together here. Hoping that it keeps a focus around Obi-Wan protecting Luke as the watchful eye just out of sight for years. And there’s no way this ends without another fight between Obi-Wan and Anakin right?

I can already tell this is going to be my favorite show of all-time. Don’t even care.

I'm curious if they will use flashbacks that pull from the prequel trilogy like they did with Boba Fett.

It would be cool to see Obi-Wan thinking about the times with Anakin and getting the cuts of the battle on Genosis, or saving Palpatine from General Grievous. Maybe even pepper in some freshly shot scenes of them fighting together in the Clone Wars.

We find Obi-Wan at the beginning of our story rather broken, and faithless, and beaten, somewhat given up."

----So exactly like Luke in Epi 8.

The trailer with the Grand Inquisitor explaining that he believes the Jedi are essentially addicted to helping others and perpetual optimists strongly suggests that Obi-Wan is only ignoring his Jedi tendencies to protect himself for the future of Luke, unlike the way Luke was portrayed in Last Jedi when he had clearly given up and had to be pulled out of it by Yoda. I don’t think Obi-Wan has given up here, but he knows that he has to survive to help Luke since Luke is their last hope

On another note, I love the use of the Inquisitors here and think they have a really great storyline. Religious zealots of the dark side essentially, with motives based on religion and fanaticism rather than power and profit (the defacto Star Wars motives for villains). These are actually unique villains since they defy the generic Master and Apprentice style (the emperor and Vader, Palpatine and Maul, Palpatine and Dooku to a lesser extent, Snoke and Kylo Ren, Palpatine and Kylo Ren). I need to watch through Rebels though. Hoping the Inquisitors defy the generic “white people are villains and very suspiciously similar to Nazis” that we get from the Empire and especially the First Order, but with casting a black woman as this Inquisitor focused on in the trailer is at least progress though we’ll see how her storyline goes
